Funny story.

I was a senior in HS when this video came out, and one of my classmates said her father walked into the room while her little brother was watching MTV and immediately parental conrolled the shit out of that channel.

She had to get her MTV elsewhere.

I always thought this one was the original.

Edit - it was. The beach version was released in 1991. The one above in 1990 to promote the movie “Wild At Heart”.

Me too. I’m the same age. I have an intern working for me right now who is a sophomore in college. I realized when she started that when I was a senior in high school, she was in kindergarten.

I remember seeing the first one and thought there was nothing better to fall asleep to. We even used to joke that we better turn the channel while driving because the song was so slow and the video was so boring.

We didn’t say that about the second one.
